Since you’ve made the effort to come here, can I assume that you are interested in making some changes in your health and your life?
Wouldn’t it be great if we could snap our fingers and in an instant, replace our bad health issues with good? Don’t we wish it were that easy?
Making changes in our lives isn’t easy…….. if it were, we would just get it done and move on.
Let’s look at an Analogy about Making Changes.
It is said that most of us take better care of our cars and our pets than we do our own bodies.
How about if we use the maintenance of our cars as the basis for comparison?
If we faithfully perform the recommended schedule of preventive maintenance on our car, use good quality fuel, we keep it clean, avoid huge potholes in the road, try to keep it out of hail storms, etc., our car will be ‘healthier’, more reliable, look and run better, won’t it?
On the other hand, if we keep putting off having its oil changed, tune-ups done, don’t replace the tires when they’re worn, park it in dangerous places, put the wrong kind of fuel in its tank, and just generally take it for granted, do you think we could expect it to always look and run like it did when it was new? Do you think we would be surprised and disappointed in its performance?
Well, the way we treat our bodies can be likened to this example of maintaining our cars.
We cannot expect our bodies to look and feel ‘like new’ if we neglect them and take them for granted, thinking that they will always be there for us without us having to take care of them.
And what happens when we wait until a crisis occurs, either with our car or with our health, before it gets our attention and we decide to take action? We can usually expect that the solution, if there is one available, will take longer, cost more, and may not result in restoring our car/body to its original condition.
Do you Get the Picture?
Regular preventive maintenance is the key to maintaining the health of your car/body and when problems do arise, they are more likely to be minor and take less time and money to correct.
I’ve read reports that say for every $1.00 we spend in preventive health care, we will save $28.00 in cost to restore our health or to manage the disease condition that strikes! That’s a pretty amazing payback, isn’t it?
And this does not even address the impact that poor health or a sudden health crisis has on our life, our job, our family, our comfort level, our finances, our enjoyment of life and the ability to keep doing what we’ve committed to and/or enjoy spending our time and money on.
Does that give you a clearer picture of the importance of getting your body as healthy as you can and working to keep it that way?
This is a Different way of Thinking for most People.
We need to move from the ‘medical model’ of treating symptoms to the ‘prevention model’ of avoiding or delaying the onset of cellular aging. Since all life and disease begins and ends at the cellular level, we need to learn to keep our cells as healthy and alive as possible.
Large changes require large commitments and lots of small steps – we call them ‘baby steps’.
A quote I saw recently said, “To achieve maximum success, accept that progress is made one step at a time.”

- Look at where you are to identify areas you would like to see transformed
- Define your current situation in each area and what effects it is having on your life
- Identify what impact it will have if you continue down the same path
- Create an ideal picture of how you’d like that area be
- Visualize how it would impact your life if those changes were made
- Prioritize each ideal picture in order of its importance to you
- Then we get to work!
- Clarify what needs to happen in order for your ideal to become reality
- Define a plan of how to accomplish that change in your life
- Strategize specific steps you need to take in the coming weeks to move closer to the ideal picture
- Identify a series of achievable ‘baby steps’ that you can’t fail at
- Look at what might get in your way and how to dissolve those obstacles
- Define a means of keeping those same obstacles from getting in your way again
- Provide focus, structure and assurance of consistent forward movement
- Celebrate your successes!
Here are some easy to understand phrases that may help you visualize the steps to change:
- Every big accomplishment is a series of little accomplishments.
- Success is always the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
- A building is built one brick at a time.
- Football games are won one play at a time.
- You walk over the highest mountain one step at a time.
- And yes, you eat an elephant one bite at a time!
- We can’t suddenly create a major change, any more than we can miraculously create an apple.
- If we want an apple, we must give it time.
- We must plant the seed, nurture it, allow time for it to blossom, bear fruit, then fully ripen before it is the apple that we wanted.
- Usually things that grow fast, also wither rapidly.
- Things that grow slowly and according to a plan, usually endure.
- Consistency brings momentum and forward motion.
- The Mind is the source of great insights; Emotions are the source of valuable indicators.

If you are serious about committing to your health, this is the package for you. It is a comprehensive program to educate, inspire and empower you toward your health and wellness goals.
This program includes:
- Comprehensive Intake Session
- Months 1-4 we will have three 45-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- Months 5-8 we will have three 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- Months 9-12 we will have two 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month

- Months 1-2 we will have three 45-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- Months 3-4 we will have three 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- Months 5-6 we will have two 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month

- Unlimited email access to your Coach
- Unlimited access to the secure, confidential Client Wellness Portal
- ‘Just in Time’ extra 10-minute phone coaching as needed, up to 3 times per month

This 3-month program is designed to allow Clients to experience Health Coaching without a long-term commitment. It will get you started on the path toward health and wellness and provide tools to achieve your goals.

- Months 1-3 we will have three 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- I will call you at the scheduled day/time at the number you request
- Unlimited email access to your Coach
- Unlimited access to the secure, confidential Client Wellness Portal
- Hand-selected articles and resources. Our state of the art Client Wellness Portal contains a number of multimedia materials designed to inform and support you
- Internet-based personal training program
- If, at the end of month 2, you feel that you do not want to continue the program, we will cancel the remainder of your commitment under the Coaching Agreement.
VIRTUAL Self-Starters e-Coaching Program
This 4-month program is for very busy Clients, possibly those who travel or whose schedules are inconsistent, who may not be able to schedule set times for regular phone coaching sessions. This program is for self-directed Clients who enjoy using the internet on a regular basis and can learn and communicate well through this medium.
This program includes:
- Comprehensive Intake Session via telephone
- All coaching interaction except for the Intake Session will be done via the secure, confidential Client Wellness Portal with unlimited access for 3 months
- Months 1-3 structured weekly email exchanges and journal entries in lieu of weekly phone coaching sessions
- Unlimited email access to your Coach
- Hand-selected articles and resources. Our state of the art Client Wellness Portal contains a number of multimedia materials designed to inform and support you
- Internet-based personal training program
- If, at the end of month 3, you feel that you do not want to continue the program, we will cancel the remainder of your commitment under the Coaching Agreement.
TEAM RELAY Group Coaching Program
Group Coaching provides structure and focus on a selected topic. This 3-month program is for a variety of Clients including those who…..
- have already made strides in improving their lives and ensuring that their new-found changes remain permanent
- use it as a complement to individual Health Coaching
- use it as a post-individual-coaching follow-up period of additional coaching
- want to experience coaching but are not ready to make a commitment to individual coaching
- want high-level coaching at a lower cost
Group coaching does not allow extensive personal coaching time, but each participant learns and benefits from hearing the experiences and input from the other participants.
This program includes:
- Months 1-3 we will have three 55-minute phone coaching sessions per month
- Group Coaching sessions will consist of approximately a 20 minute presentation on the scheduled topic followed by group questions and discussion related to the topic.
- Each 3-month Group Coaching program will explore a segment of a particular area of Health, such as Managing Stress, Better Nutrition, Improving Your Fitness Program, Weight Management, or other subject areas as they are developed.
- A schedule of topics for each phone session of the 3-month program will be sent to each participant in advance.
- Group Coaching programs will usually have between 3-8 participants
- A conference call line will be set up by the Coach who will provide the call-in number to all Group Clients. The long-distance cost is paid by each Client.
- Unlimited email access to your Coach
- Optional access to the secure, confidential Client Wellness Portal with unlimited access at an additional cost of only $30 per month.
- If, at the end of month 2, you feel that you do not want to continue the program, we will cancel the remainder of your commitment under the Group Coaching Agreement.
Client Wellness Portal
Our Client Wellness Portal is an innovative online web portal available to current clients 24/7. It is secure and confidential. We will use it to record your goals and track your activities toward achieving those goals. This powerful tool provides you with an online journal, a comprehensive health library, assessment tools, tracking tools, a customized exercise planning program and much more. It will help you maximize your coaching experience and we are pleased to be able to make it available to you.
